CTA Brown Line Capacity Expansion Project

The Ravenswood Industrial Council is working to anticipate and minimize impacts on commuting, potential power outages, and other impacts associated with the Brown Line Capcity Expansion Project. For general information on the project and more updates, please go to CTAbrownline.com.
Latest Information Affecting Ravenswood Industrial Corridor
Construction for the Brown Line Capacity Expansion project began in the Ravenswood Industrial Corridor this fall. The Chicago Transit Authority has chosen McHugh Construction Company as the contractor for the Addison to Damen portion of the project.
The CTA recently announced that as a part of the construction process, it will move to a three track operating system between the Belmont and Fullerton stations. This will have affect travel times for riders on the Brown, Purple, and Red Lines. If you commute to the Ravenswood Corridor via the Brown Line, your travel times will be lengthened.
Alternate Routes
During the upcoming stations closures, CTA riders may need to utilize alternative bus routes to access their destination or to get to work in the Ravenswood Corridor. The link below provides a schedule and a map of all of the bus routes in and around the Ravenswood Industrial Corridor.

Incidents and Damage to Property
Interruptions to power or telephone should be reported first to the utility company itself. Next, please report the incident to RIC via the Comments box in the Business Survey. RIC is collecting reports to advocate for the businesses. See "Links and Contacts" section below.
Damage to property by the CTA should be reported to Claims Department at (312) 681-3095. An accident clerk will take a statement and advise you how to procede. When the work starts on the Addison- Damen segment, there will be a customer service contact number to the general contractor as well.
