Ravenswood Industrial Council is an Industrial Chamber of Commerce whose members include businesses with an economic interest in the Ravenswood Industrial Corridor and the northern portion of the Addison Industrial Corridor. Founded in 1983, the Ravenswood Industrial Council (RIC) serves to address issues of concern to the business owners and operators in the Ravenswood and Addison Industrial Corridors. RIC recognizes that the manufacturing and service firms in both of these industrial corridors form a strong economic base that keeps our local community vibrant and provides a large number of employment opportunities for area residents.
Sewer Replacement On Montrose Ave.
Sewer replacement will occur between Damen and Ashland along Montrose Avenue. There will be one lane open during construction. This may impact travel times for commuters. Montrose is estimated to be re-opened in early November. Please check our website for further updates on this project. Please remember to be cautious when detouring through Ravenswood neighborhoods and help support local retail businesses that may be impacted by the construction.
Fiber Optic Issues
Many companies within the Ravenswood and Addison Corridors have expressed concern for internet issues in the territory. We will be working with local providers and businesses to attempt to solve this issue. If you would like to be involved in this project please contact Ken Govas at ken@ravenswoodindustry.org
Sustainability in the Corridors
Everyone feels the pressure of increasing energy costs. Many companies are looking for energy solutions as well as ways to "go green". We are working on collecting information on grants to help industrial members easily transform into "green" companies. If you would like to help with this process or would like more information contact Ravenswood Industrial Council. Stay tuned for information in the sustainability seminar in September!
